Living on the coast winter is crap for riding but we ocasionally get to go out for a ride does anyone else ride in the rain and cold or is it just me and my crazy frends?

winter is just one of them things that we have to deal with if u wana ride .......ride just adds that little bit more of a challenge

last year i spent about 4 hours riding in a blizzard with every one in Clee (you can see this in one of billocks vids)

Obviously you have good days and bad days, sometimes the weather will be perfect others it will be againts you, but however and whatever things are trials should always be a challenge, I always ride according to how i'm feeling and the weather conditions. I love the bad weather because its more of a challenge.

Riding in winter, rain, wind, snow will only make you a better rider...

agree mate i dont mind bout weather to much other than real heavy rain, just go out and get it done.

i don't really mind riding in the rain, i have a rear disc so it won't affect my braking perofmance alot

my confidence does go down a bit in rainy weather though..

i run a grind on the back but the usual riding i do its not possible wen its rainin. i cant go to the best ridin spots either the seafront is the best place and the wind is like gail force and the natural spot we have is under trees and the logs jst get soaked. where do you fellas ride wen its rainin or dunt it realy mata 2 you?

just ride the usual places like the seafront etc riding in the wind is fun aim to the side and still travel forward lol

where i live is exactly like this the stonework gets like ice as soon as its wet and its so windy its unreal. i find i have to use the brakes less using body position, weight and pedal pressure to keep the bike where i want it, you've just got to be a lot smoother.

off topic: if you wanna get validated a way to make it a little quicker is not to use so much text talk. only a tip. dont take it if you dont want to.

Yeah! DON'T use text talk, as i found out, I got validated and have since been un-validated and have tried my best to use perfect punctuation and spelling. (Although have most likely failed) I have not been re-validated as of yet. So be careful, don't do it if you ever want to sell/buy or reply in any of the members post's.

i ride in the cold every night until it get frosty then i drift round corners as i scurry home i never ride when the ground has puddles everywhere as my brake pads might aswell turn to wet soap

I think rain is positive. It´s a good training, and it´s more difficult to ride. I dislike snow, but my dad has a hall, so I can ride during snow, too.

u see daownhiller going out when its raining the same with xcross rider so wats wrong with trials riders going out in crappy weather! its raining right now and im goin out in 10mins!!

if its cold, tighten your brakes to the max before taking the bike into the cold, itll avoid nasty "mishaps"

Maguras, well im not sure what other hydro brakes are like, seem to slacken off when its cold. dont know why

i hate winter, especially the rain, but if you gotta ride, do it!!!#

I dont really mind ridin in the wet, its the rain that bothers me, i hate gettin soaking! lol

Just buy some rock pads blue, and you will be set for winter... i was ridin in a water fountain, whilst it was raining, on saturday, and my brakestill squeeked and held asif it was dry!!!

I don't really mind if it is wet or raining a tad bit, I just go out and ride.

Its not like the same as BMX or Dirt Jumping, where you can't ride beacuse the ramps or jumps are wet and slippy.

Dont mind riding when its cold, or when its damp.

But hate it when its raining or its windy, its very annoying living near the beech sometimes becuase of the wind, sea water sprays on my bike sometimes. Sea water = Rust

i know exactly what you mean, i did the biggest gap of my life today. 5ft lola bench to bench it took me about twenty goes to get comfortable on the back wheel before i did the gap. i'm so happy!!!!

i think that winter riding is awesome!!, Evryone is freezing their arses off and you are roasting, i used to do bmxing and dirt jump and so far trialing is by far the most fun sport and you keep warm in winter!!! as long as it isn't f**king raining cause thats annoying!!!
