Snapped Chain. Alignment To Blame?

I went for a ride in the dark and the wet found a new nice gap and bam my chain snaps. Ooow my knee.

I'm running a Echo external bb and a profile. The alignment is off and the chain would click slightly because of this. There wasn't really any catching or serious problems but i wonder did my chain snap because of the alignment? I fogot to say it's on a mod. If you hadn't already guessed.

I guess it's going to be a KHE collapse now, stolen off the bmx.

Although i was thinking maybe a big fat moto chain. I saw one guy running one. It looks alright and damn it ain't going to snap, well it shouldn't. But then again my chain shouldn't of!

I leave you guessing to what i was running. £25 it cost me. Heat treated as well.

Maybe i should get some pics tommoro.

nooo idea what u wer running, but when i was 15(i think) went out on a ride with lankeman and rich rewden on my handsome dog, snapped me chain 3 or 4 times that night, not puttin stress on it, just riding along. was because i was using a gear too far out of line(22t-11 in this case), few days later moved my adjuster in, so it wouldnt go below 22t-14, never broke the chain again(and it was the same chain i used throughout the hole saga)

If you had a split link in it that was more likely why it snapped and i ran a khe chain on my profile no problems :S

I don't do split links. They are asking for disaster even on a bmx.

It because of the Echo external bb i'm having the aligment problem. The khe feels gastly on the Profile with the alignment out.
