Right, I have been asked to restore our family computer, So I though yerr simple enough, chuck the microsoft disc in then continue through the restore.

But microsoft being mega gay, When it says starting from cd 'please press any key to continue' i do so but nothing happens <_<

Could someone guide me through the process.

I have done it before on a mac, it cant be much harder on a pc.

Thanks In advance.

Luke.

Maybe worth formatting c: before installation .. its like start --> run --> cmd --> format c:

Once all that shit is over with start up yer computer and get in to bios and change the settings to boot from your cd drive and all should work.

Im not a computer nerd but ive had to do it this way a few times due to the same problem as you
