Nuke Bowel Posted December 11, 2006 Report Share Posted December 11, 2006 Right, I have been asked to restore our family computer, So I though yerr simple enough, chuck the microsoft disc in then continue through the restore.But microsoft being mega gay, When it says starting from cd 'please press any key to continue' i do so but nothing happens Could someone guide me through the process.I have done it before on a mac, it cant be much harder on a pc.Thanks In advance.Luke. Maybe worth formatting c: before installation .. its like start --> run --> cmd --> format c:Once all that shit is over with start up yer computer and get in to bios and change the settings to boot from your cd drive and all should work.Im not a computer nerd but ive had to do it this way a few times due to the same problem as you Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Danny Posted December 11, 2006 Report Share Posted December 11, 2006 Go into the BIOS and find the USB options. There should be one todo with USB Mice and Keyboard or Legacy devices.
