lankyri
ive gone from short to long now, started with a mission reefer- very nice to bunnyhop but i kinda gre out of it, so i went for a saracen mad, that road nice, still could bunnyhop and that but again i grew up so i looked stupid riding it then came the t-rex great bike imo when i had a high stem i could bunny hop higher than ever but not wheeliehop, then i went for a flat stem and i found it harder to bunny hop but i could wheelihop pretty high, now i have a bt raven bit longer than the rex but i love it.it depends what style you have as well, if your a more trialsy person (wheelswaps and taps) your better off finding that longer bike and high stem is easier to ride than a short bike with a flat stem. but if you like your spins and and 180's your better off with a shorter bike with a flat stem but with some riser bars.but also if you wanna be different do what i did for a weekend, i was on my bt raven, but i put a flat stem and easton ea70 bars on i admitt it looked funky and it road totally different from my echo stem and onza flat bars but you will find your balance will be not as good if you run shorter bars i find a long bike is nicer to ride than a short bike, like jack balmans ko bike, its a inch shorter than my raven and its so nice on the back wheel and i can gap so far on it
5.0 Rider
I prefer a long bike, because it´s better for touch hopping, and in my opinion, the sidehops feel much better on a long bike. The hook was easier on a short bike( i learned the hook on a Crescent=1030wb)
M-A-T-T
There are advantages and disadvantages to both, long bikes are better for sidehoping but not as good for bunny hops. Depends on what you prefere doing?

Lambton
I've used short bikes for about 5 years (giant team trials, brisa B26D eastern, saracen MAD-version before current saracen, diamondback) and never had a problem with any of them. My riding style was smooth and influenced by all styles (comp and street, akrigg and hermance...).I now ride a toxsin '2' which has a 1085 wheel base and +20 BB. I can now sidehop higher, tap higher, switch higher.....I prefer longer bikes but any longer than 1085 and I think it would be too long, but thats just me!I will be riding a PHASES 1.1 in the new year which is a 1075 I think?? So we'll see what that rides like!!!!PEACE!
