aener
1) My non-driveside crank bolt keeps coming undone. Is this probably resolved by getting a new crank bolt? Or is it something to do with the fact that I'm currently running a driveside on there (Long story)How do I stop it coming loose?Any help much appriciated.ThanksAnd2) I've come to something I want to get up - there's a little rock - then a big rock - spaced just far apart enough so that I can rest front wheel on the big one, and back wheel on the little one.The front wheel is about... a foot higher than the rear - any tips on how to get across? I can never seem to get enough power to get my back wheel onto it.Also - it's made awkward by a wall on the right hand side being very close in.Advice dearly wanted please You should all be able to tell me - your vids are amazing...Cheers, Flipp
Fixed Pants™
For two... Try a pedal punch? Are you trying to get it to back wheel or both wheels?
Broomer
i found that when i had cheap cranks they always came loose, it might have something to do they were bent and the tapers were messed up.

A!!
And 2) I've come to something I want to get up - there's a little rock - then a big rock - spaced just far apart enough so that I can rest front wheel on the big one, and back wheel on the little one. The front wheel is about... a foot higher than the rear - any tips on how to get across? I can never seem to get enough power to get my back wheel onto it. Also - it's made awkward by a wall on the right hand side being very close in. Advice dearly wanted please You should all be able to tell me - your vids are amazing... Cheers, Flipp Basically the way i do it is by getting the front tyre lower than the back but only slightly, if it isn't possible then just get the front as close as you can to the same height as the rear tyre, as this helps get the power down, because it's basically like pre-loading. Then try build up as much pressure as you can onto the pedals (with the brake on). Then in one sudden movement release the brake, lean back, and kick forward. And ride away like a pro
aener
I think that's pretty much what I've been doing - but I'll go at it tomorrow and think about it doing that - not just going at it whichever way seems half decent Cheers Everybody
joe b
Does anyone do wedges anymore? Like in that Coustellier nottingham vid.Of course. But, from what i can tell, i don't think the gap is big enough for a wedge/bridge .Static hopping up it would be the best technique; i can't be bothered to explain it so have a look on www.trashzen.com .Cheers,Joe. Krisboats
Does anyone do wedges anymore? Like in that Coustellier nottingham vid.Thats the way i'd do it. Basically just get your wheels in place then really yank on the bars and throw yourself up to the next rock. You'll be fine.
