watto
Just noticed this morning when waking up and having a quick look at my bike in the bedroom, pulled brake in as you do , heard a nice 'tink' looked closer and its cracked both sides above the brake , where the seat stays join to the downtube. What could i do now i bought the frame brand new from supercycles ebay store, tryed ringing them earlier but now answer.

RicH_87
is this the blue and yellow one?basically a t-master but made from tracing paper?if so, then what did you expect. its a comp bike designed to be used maybe 12 times a year for a couple of hours. you MIGHT get half price crash replacement, but i doubt it. watto
I'm pretty shit anyway its not as if it's been used everyday , there is a huge dent on the downtube and no sign of that cracking just the cracks previously mentioned, its hardly been used aswell, as ive been mostly on the bmx or jumpbike. I got the frame in july if that helps. Edited December 9, 2006 by watto
Guest
What, so the brakes have cracked it?
watto
looks so it's hardly as if cud hit it where the cracks are and they've spread form the drainage holes up the frame.
Muel
If this happened to me, I would get the welder at Dad's works to weld it, then shot blast the frame because they have a huge cabinate, then I'd spray it or get it powder coated and try to get some stickers for it!Maybe your not in my position though.I'd also get a brake booster, or make one. watto
to be honest ive never liked the frame, and i wouldn't go throught all that trouble probably would cost something close to what i payed for the frame in the first place, i've got an echo 2bolt booster and it doesn't fit anyway , i just want to know wether i could get a replacement cheap or something. JT!
I can't see there being a problem getting a big disscount off another frame from supercycles. They're quite good with their half price warrenty, so give them a call and see what they can do for you. Also, dig out your recipt if you can . I was backing you up cheif Was meaning to add to that post, Onza offered them no form of warrenty as the warrenty terms where breached, using the bikes outside of compotitons voids it. Guest
I knew they were weak, I didn't realise they were that weak....That's f**king nut's, 'it's a comp bike' isn't really an excuse for bad design. Koxx's and mMonty's seem to be orientated around comp riding and they hold up alright. OK XTP's have fairly thin tubing but if your careful with it they can last a long time. A frame cracking from the force of brake's is just a joke, how is something so unreliable good for comps? Wouldn't fancy riding that through a section, cracking it, and having another lap to do..... watto
Hope this helps the black line represent where the cracks are il take a proper photo later, as ive only just got home from work, and my feet are killing me, non stop flow of customers. watto
Nope the one i had didn't fit it and the brake was good enough without one.
Mike Poyzer @ Onza
Just 3 things.1 We are clearing these on ebay for £59.952 It clearly states lightweight competition frame NOT for street trials.3 When you made this large dent on your down tube where do you think the forces went of your feet bearing down on the pedals. Joe Aston
T pro or zona zip haven't had a good chance to ride mine yet as its a crimbo present just a couple of back hops around the shop but it feels so nice and with a echo booster on the break with a hs11 lever feels solid. Carnt wait to get out on it crimbo day. Hope you get something sorted Joe
