Prawny Baby
theres really very little weight difference between the clio and the A3 though.... my A3 weighs 1145, and bens Clio weighs 1035, so its only 100kg, its a much more chuckable car than people seem to think! and far lighter than people give it credit for!the thing with it is, its a comfy every day car thats still GREAT fun to drive, whereas things like the clio need thrashing to get the best from them, in the A3, you dont need to drop a cog to overtake, its just got so much torque all the way through it just goes without needing you to work at it.its really nowhere near as heavy and sluggish as people seem to think. maybe it wont have quite the same light feeling as the clio does, but given a set fast sweeping bend, id put money on the audi being able to match the speed of the clio through it on speed. the sheer grip is just insane! TomR
Luke, my sister has a cooper S, check my original post, theres something down the bottom about that. The audi's lighter than the astra, the astras about 1200, but with a bit more torque and power (than the 1.8T) its still a bit quicker.I'll look into the audi a bit more as im not too familiar with all the different engines and 'boxes, but think i've ruled the clio out. it's N/A, unreliable and probably a bit too small. The leon cupra R's insurance group 17, eek!

TomR
I knew as soon as you'd posted what you were going to say Seeing as i need to use it all the time i don't have the time to do a conversion, but maybe when i'm a bit older i can have a project for that kind of thing.
