SQuiT-man
Im interested in converting to stock and getting a zona zenith, however, what would be the best way to set up SINGLESPEED gearing on one?Does it accept snailcams, or any other mod-like signlespeed system? I really dont like chain tensioners, and I HATE mechs. I'll probably be running a Hope Pro 2 by the way,Scott

Orgun_Donor
Does it accept snailcams, or any other mod-like signlespeed system?ScottNo, thats the simple answer. you would need to run a mech or tensioner, and a single speed kit on a hub. Prawny Baby
the zenith has vertical dropouts, just like all stocks (anyone who gets cocky and mentions the new things appearing gets shot)so you will have to run a tensioner.you say you hate tensioners, but i find it hard to believe you could hate anything but the price of a rohloff......get a zenithget a rohloff tensioner.live happily ever after. SQuiT-man
Will it not bend and trash my mech hanger on the zenith each time I mis-sidehop though? Its the only thing thats putting me off stock trials, and it always seems to be pretty problematic (i remember having the problem all the time when i used to ride stock, but with a mech..) Ash-Kennard
if your so worried, buy a spare hanger
roly
rohloff is a bargain at £
basher
Buy a hanger banger if your bothered about hitting the mech. I think verticle dropouts are better anyway so much fiddleing with snail cams and stuff. I have just come from a stock and its heaven setting the back wheel up now. Josh Greenan!!!!!!!!!!
If you really don't want a tensioner, check out white industries ENO hubs...Do you have a link for these? Never seen them before.
paolo
here Basicly, you can change where the middle of the hub is... Then you put your favorite freewheel on it and ride...It's the same price as theire regular hub, wich is quite nice, I can get it at my local shop for 175 $ CAN, don't know if you can even get them in the UK... I found 125 pounds for the non disc and 135 plus 45 for the brake adaptor for the disc version. So you might as well get it imported haha http://phatmoosecycles.com/products/hubs.php# Edited December 9, 2006 by paolo
