lawrence osborn
hey people,I'm wondering if anyone runs this an onza t master stem and zoo bars on a zhi zm1 frame? if not what peoples opinions are on it because ive been told by friends that it will ride horrible.cheers lawrence Edited December 24, 2006 by lawrence osborn
Nick Garland
It will ride horrible, running a Mod stem on a stock frame is just nasty. You need one of the echo hi-fi stems.
Guest
ZM1 one is a Mod, but I couldn't think of a worse set-up than t-master stem and zoo bars....
basher
im not sure it will be certainly good for bunnyhops, davetarty uses t-master stem and loves it not sure about what bars though. i would think if your going to run a high rise/reach stem dont get such big riser bars, get something with a little less rise such as onza risers. will17will17
I Ride T-master Stem and Zoo! Bars but on a onza t-mag, feels fine to be honest, a lot better than the shorter echo stem i was running Will

Did not notice that difference in the names, shows how much I pay attention I meant rides stock not a Zhi Z1, I want the Limey 2 when it finally gets into tartys. Guest
Monty stem and zoo bars?Getting there, but the monty stem is fairly low rise relatively speaking, and the zoo bars havn't too much rise either, maybe with onza bar's, or those BT ones seem fairly cheap and have alright geometry... shorty
Echo Hifi/Team, and Zoo! risers? The Hifi is slightly lower than the Team (as shown on tarty) but there both reasonably reasonable.

joe b
Should be fine, matey . It will make the bike more controlled as your arms (handlebars) won't be as close to your feet (bottom bracket). This is recommended with a high bottom bracket rise frame.Hope that helps...Cheers,Joe.
lawrence osborn
so will the hub/ wheel fit?
RobinJI
Should fit. I'd expect the Zhi is 116mm dropout spacing, so as long as you put some snailcams in there it'll be fine. If you haven't already got the wheel though, then dont bother, the hubs are gash and the bearing surfaces have a habit of caving in.
