poopipe
that is damned impressive - personally I don't have the patience for illustrator so I'm in a fair bit of awe at the amount of brain destroying work that must've gone into that, enormous piles of kudos are deserved- probably not the best time to mention you could have achieved much the same result from a couple of button clicks in flash then exported to illustrator really is it ? Walleee
Fancy giving the people on here (probably just me) a quick rundown of what you have done and why.Well, I can see what he's done, but im still perplexed as to why?The first one just looks like a normal picture, compressed a little bit, the second looks like some photoshop filter has been added or something, and the third looks much the same to me...... Urban mammoth
lol yeah i know i could have just clicked cut out in photoshop etc etc etc.it is for a personal portfolio book type thing we are doing at uni, basically just showing off what we can do.i just liked the picture so i decided to have a go.i split things down into sections (face, left eye, right eye, hair, mouth, shirt etc etc)then just went for it with the pen tool. picked the colours out with the eye dropper tool and then used different opacity to get the right look.file size is 50 meg lol!!saved it as a pdf which you can zoom right in on, you can download it here i think either click or right click and save asor just click heredanWell, I can see what he's done, but im still perplexed as to why?The first one just looks like a normal picture, compressed a little bit, the second looks like some photoshop filter has been added or something, and the third looks much the same to me......im a graphic design student at unithis is what we do for fun it is NOT a photoshop filter it is fully vectorised using adobe illustratorthe outline preview is to show all the paths which i have drawn (again, not a photoshop filter )

Walleee
Sorry, I wasn't trying to say you were cheating by using a filter, I just didn't understand what it was I was looking at, the bigger one helps explain..That's pretty nuts now I know what's going on!
