Boswell
I have recently bought a tryall freewheel and am very impressed with it the only problem is that because it has so many engagement points it makes my 18/12 gearing seen a hell of a lot harder. I have now decided to get a fixed 14 tooth sprocket on the back Which should give me the gearing i want. has anyone else had this problem with a freewheel or a cassette?Mr ? JT!
Changing freewheel won't alter the gear ratio - so long as they have the same number of teeth.Just ride it and you'll soon get used to the new feel.
Dan6061
I guess you ride mod? - Profile says so..18 - 12 is the 'normal' gear ratio.I went from a 36 engagment ACS freewheel, to a 48e Profile. - Probably not as big a leap as you, but you'll get used to it. steve@banbury-trials
i think the problem you have may be just that your feet barely move before the 108 engagement points engage when compared to say a ck hub or something.i felt the same way for a few rides, then i really liked the almost instant response the freewheel offered i'll definitely will be getting another one when my current one dies.steve
