CurtisRider Posted December 5, 2006 Report Share Posted December 5, 2006 I would do as v brakes can be really good but sometimes in different weather they can be really rubbish so i would recommend a hope mono trial or mono mini on the front and a magura hs33 on the back.Jackmaguras dont work perfectly in the wet either tit...anyway, just get yaself a decent rear cable, like an oddyssey linear slick, and some decent rear pads from heatsink bikes or plazmatic, its cheaper than going to maguras, and your brakes will work tons better also perhaps invest in a deore/sd7 rear calliper and try and find a higher end shimano/avid brake lever for the rear, thatll help no end, its worth investing in a decent rear v set up if you want reliable braking Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
