Walleee
if there is clearance yeh, but they tend to be a fair bit wider than bicycle chain's....
mikey23
It would be really heavy, and the distance between the links would be probably to long to fit on a bike trial sprocket. And yeh as jake1516 said, i would imagine it would be way to wide to fit in with out like hitting your frame or like front bashguard or something. Mark W
BMXers used to use moped and scooter chains on their bikes, so it may work, it'll just feel dog-turd. Just join a normal chain properly
poopipe
BMXers used to use moped and scooter chains on their bikes, so it may work, it'll just feel dog-turd. Just join a normal chain properly have to agree there. I had one of the monster motorbike sized gusset chains on my bmx for a while, it was good and solid and seemed to work fine but when I switched to a shadow v2 (for clearance purposes) the drivetrain felt a lot freer (free-er ? how the hell do you spell that?). I guess it's because there's just a lot less metal to move around. I think you'd notice the difference more on a trials bike cos of all the pedalhopping and stuff so maybe best avoided.
