dwarrick
I know some of us have seen the photoshop of the hope made into an 8 piston, but here is a real one. Not anything we would use but they do make them in diffenent pistons #'s. Resivoir looks masive on them.link to the website Edited November 29, 2006 by dwarrick
paolo
Geeh, thanks for robbing it from me on MTBK Sadly, pretty useless for trials, they don't even do a 2 piston version...
Nick Garland
My god look at the size of the resevoir !!!! Sod hitting your knee on the stem, that hitting you would hurt. However the rotor is cool. Edited November 29, 2006 by Team War Rider
anzo
I'd imagine the force on forks and frames will be immense. Most frames cant handle normal brakes nevermind 8 pot.8 pots sounds good, although keep in mind thats 8 seals to burst!!! And not to mention the brake will cost a fortune. Broomer
the lever and caliper are ugly, looks like a serious bit of kit though.

I have very rarely if ever (don't remember one) been in a situation where my diskbrake has slipped before my tyre (or lifting the back wheel off the ground and having to ease off brake for safety!)I think its just silly, it looks very heavy, and complicated. 4 pistons is enough to distribute load across pads, any every hope 4 pot ive had has never failed to dissapoint (ive had enduro 4, M4, and mono M4). I also love my C2 and mini, but have had a couple of probs with the mini. Mono minis just don't work though.
basher
that thing is one piece of seriously cool kit. shame its not really any good for trials. but other wise i think it is a good idea as they can run 2 compounds of pads which must be a good thing for the different conditions, and looks like they have put some effort in to this brake ti coated disk, kevlar lined cable seriously cool bit of kit. what a cracking christmas prezzie that would bejust think if you went over the bars with that lever on you wuldn't go right far over the bars you would nock yourself out on the resiviour haha Edited November 29, 2006 by andy h
Andrex
Something that size is really meant to stop a truck at over 200mph not a bike. But anyway it looks expensive and someone will probably buy it for their DH bike, that need some sort of power, but I'm not sure that much power. 6 pot was quite extreme but 8 pot is taking the biscuit from the barrel.
