Msn Virus

Hey from what i have seen there is currently a virus going around msn so be aware.

The virus get you by sending you a message from some 1 who has the virus saying

"is that u? :) \\http://tuspics.tu.funpic.org/index.php?pic2038.jpg"]http://tuspics.tu.funpic.org/index.php?pic2038.jpg//

If you then click this link you will be getting the virus.

Most people are probably already aware of this but for people that aren't hope this helps you not to get it.

As i can tell the virus doesn't do any real harm apart from sending this annoying link around to your other contacts.

If you do get then then I would suggest doing a virus scan straight away to get rid of it.

Cheers

I think there's variations on the URL that is sent, but yeah I've seen that one recently.

Just a note, if you get it, change your screen name to something like "DO NOT CLICK THE LINK, IT'S A VIRUS" or something just to warn others. A mate had it and that's what he did until he sorted it out.

Either that or just don't go on MSN til it's sorted :P

Its a Trojan Hourse, that opens up a port on your PC so anybody can just walk on and off when they please.

If your virus scanner says its deleted it, its lieing. Soon as you load up your PC again its back.

You actually ahve to manually stop the .exe from loading back up.

Me and my GF had the same think, oh its a b*****d!

Hope ive helped.

I got this because I was expecting mr Maher to send me a photo so I clicked it ..... without realising who it was from ....

AVG is saying its dealing with the situation but you are right every time the computer boots - it finds it again ...

so anyone know how to really really delete it ? or what it is called ?

I don't know wether or not to be gutted that no-ones sent it to me.

On the plus hand i have no virus, but i wouldn't click on the link anyway because as far as i know, there aren't any pictures of me on the internet.

But then again it means i'm not popular.

What a dilema it seems to be though.
