sir trial a lot Posted November 27, 2006 Report Share Posted November 27, 2006 Hi, basically im selling a gas gas on ebay and someone has said to me that they are very interested but confused because it looks exactly the same as a bike advertised elswhere. this is where im slightly worried, because i know that no one else could possibly have the bike up for sale etc and that i have only put it on ebay. He has put a link in his message <SCAM LINK REMOVED> but im scared to click the link incase its a virus or something do i just ignore the e-mail?? any help appreciated. thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted November 27, 2006 Report Share Posted November 27, 2006 (edited) It opens an ebay login page, but not at ebay, might take your password or something if you put your details in, either ignore him or send him a message back saying that the link just sent you to a login page rather than another audtion, ask him to send you the item number of the bike the ame as yours and you should be able to put it into the ebay search.I doubt it's anything to really worry about i'd ignore it personally, or perhaps report them to ebay if you can, sending them a copy of the message he sent you.... They'll probably tell you not to do anything and ebay never asks for your details anyway so you know its not legit from that alone.Nothing to worry about though.
