manuel
If that EVER comes out its going to cost about 800 quid frame only and WILL break very quickly.... If it weighs 1650 grams then its comp only (and probably only 1 )plus - its another ashton copy in essence for me =

Krisboats
That thing is crazy, i dont get how it "looks heavy" though. Can't knock them though, how many other companies try such bold and innovative things?
N.Wood
no lol what hapend to the vincos? They snapped around the massive holes Dominique cut in the toptubes.
Waddy
yer the vincos had big holes in the toptube, this boox thing loos like it has an internal tube welded into the frame at both ends, better than just having a hole, but maybe not as strong as having a clip , time will tell
Ali C
I am quite suprised its taken this long to have this style of hydroformed tubes on a trials frame, they have been used on other types of bikes for donks now. Its not that exspensive either, some new Da Bomb bikes have big welded hydroformed tubes and they are dirt cheap. This koxx does look a little more complicated than the da bombs though. Joe_Elding
How does hydroforming work?I'm not sure if I like it, from side on i quite like it but from the other angles i don't
yoyoyo
The whole rear brake area just looks too confusing to me. I prefer more simple frames. Although it is starting to grow on me more, perhaps it just needs to be in a different colour.. say something darker... like black and red. dave85
How does hydroforming work?I'm not sure if I like it, from side on i quite like it but from the other angles i don't Stick an annealed (soft condition) alloy tube in a die the shape you want. Then fill the tube with water and pressurise, it expands to fill the die. Its a godsend to designers who like curves
Matt_Tupman
Stick an annealed (soft condition) alloy tube in a die the shape you want. Then fill the tube with water and pressurise, it expands to fill the die. Its a godsend to designers who like curves But what people forget is that it actually weakens the material in some areas and not in others which could be bad news but knowing Koxx it's proberly been well tested.I like it nice to see some new intresting shapes out there even if it is purely asthetics you've got to admit most of us are bike pimps.
