Orgun_Donor
Apart from slightly dodgy pad wear, would a 200mm Hope rotor on a BB7(203mm) Cause any kinda serious damage?Reason im asking is cause i only have a 185mm Avid disc, and im awaiting delivery of my 203 rotor. And in the mean time im using an old hope rotor...
Ali C
the best brake I ever had was an avid on hope floating rotor, it will be fine
RobinJI
Shouldn't have though so, Ben Moore uses a 205mm hope rotor and a 203 BB7 and its been fine for ages.
Orgun_Donor
Well thats good to hear. Altho not quite expecting the power of this brake, sent me over the bars in the rain, in a gap to front The BB7's

Bigman
Hey sorry to steal ur topic Darren I have a rear 160 BB7 which will soon go on my monty ( end of the week )Does any one know if this will have enogth power or am i best getting a 180?CheersI should think it will be fine, 160mm hopes work awsome on montys, and i find avids to be more powerfull, so i should think it will be ok.Adam

joshywa
200 rotor will fit fine... i run a 185mm avid with 180mm aztec rotor, and the wierd thing is the pads are better placed on the rotor than running a 185 the pads used to wear at the top of the pad but not the bottom but with the 180 it seems to wear evenly
Tomm
Yeah, if the rotor is 3mm too narrow, it'll only be 1.5mm at the caliper. And I reckon you could easily sort that by faffing with the spacers (if you wanted to).
Dan6061
On a smaller scale, I have a 165mm Hope Gothic rotor, from having a 160mm Avid one before. If that helps..at all? Works mint btw.
