gr8grumble
hey, i just bought some heatsink reds in cnc backings, put them on... all stright nice hit and.......no noice no bite nothing. is it normal for this to happen? when i have bought pads in the past they have made noise as soon as there put on. the compound feels soooooo hard. when you ride along with the brake on it feels like metal rubbin against metal.? any ideas or does it just need to where in? if soo any good techniques? graham. trials rules
Mine were like that too, i found that putting them contact side down on concrete then dragging them along the floor with your foot works to take the new edge off them and roughen them up bit. I have to do it every time i wash my bike - which to be fair isnt very often

eskimo
A quick tip for you. Once the pads have bed in, don't move them. This will help in the long run. Once the break is working don't attempt to set it up again as it will most definatly become worse.
