(n/a) probably felt fast because its a shoebox :/wanna rethink that, mate supposedly had the fastest starlet in the uk, at 317bhp. think thatd give most cars on the road today a pasting. its not that there hugely powerful in standard form, its the fact there light, and extremely easy to get more out of them, same as the renault 5 gt turbo'sEDIT: just noticed this(Was looking at 3 car related topics at once at the time), mike you sure you aint put this in the wrong thread?? Mainly because it has 2 v6 engines in it, or has a 4 wheel drive cosworth conversion, or has a GTi-6 engine supercharged and setup to run 380bhp, take your pick.Comprendé? Radfax
I think its worth a phase one GTi 6 just to be able to say, i stole bams mageras Galardo, wrecked 17k's worth of gear box, chipped the rims and raped the tyres, even though no one would belive it.All worth it
Sam Nichols
Plus a few donuts wouldnt exacrtly rape a gearbox. He was doing donuts, hand brake spins and the thing where you reverse backwards into a spin and drive off the other way.. This would f**k up the gearbox.I read something about it having a quattro gear box meaning thatthe quick shift from reverse to forwards gear coupled with the immense power and traction would significantly strain the gearbox.I know nothing about cars.. But that makes sense to me.
