David
Hey, does anyone know the offset of echo urban forks? Thanks,Dave
Ash-Kennard
Description - Well-proven and very popular fork for both street and natural riders, updated for 2007!- Super-thick butted steerer is now even stronger than previously, being a massive 8mm thick at the bottom!- Featuring fork blades which are welded to the crown section at a more shallow angle (closer to 90 degrees from the line of the crown) than almost all other forks, the Urbans have excellent tyre clearance and a rather distinctive 'wide' shape. - Using the same pressed and then welded construction process for the steerer, these forks are stiffer than the 2006 models due to the extra thick steerer tube they now have.- Available for 26" wheel bikes only, with a choice of dedicated Magura 4-Bolt mounts and a disc mount, V-brake mounts and disc mount, or as a disc only set-up. - 9mm thick CNC machined disc mount, to take the extra stresses of trials riding.- Brushed aluminium finish helps scratches stay un-noticed for longer and a top coat of lacquer helps them keep their shine.- 408mm length with 45mm rake.- 884g for the Disc Only version. that sounds very wrong, although the headtube angle... RobinJI
Nope 45mm's about right, although i though the 06 ones were 43mm
Ash-Kennard
were the 06 ones 410 or 408?
RobinJI
I'm pretty sure they were 408mm long. Remember thinking that they weren't exactly nice round numbers, 43 and 408.
Ash-Kennard
so they are even longer, thats abit gay, but ok

Ash-Kennard
i think 400 is prefect there for an extra 8mm and 2 more degrees of offset will make the bike go huge
RobinJI
Hm... Might add an extra 4 or 5mm to the wheelbase, and can always take a spacer out of the headset or something to lower it a bit. Can't really imagine it being noticeable. you thinking of getting some then?
Ash-Kennard
had 06 urbans for the past year on my 06 control (snapped them, as shown in ma video), should have been 1080 wb, but was 1095, and as the new urbans have even more offset, they will be lower and longer, therefore making my bike less flicky, but these are the strongest availiable really Edited November 24, 2006 by ash-kennard
