poopipe
rather than use the search (er, technology moves so fast the search results would be out of date - decent excuse )....I'll be needing a shiny new digital camera to take pictures of the wee one, make home made porn and get some decent upskirts in town fairly soon. I'm not really into photography as a hobby but I hate crap cameras and I'm a tart so I want a decent quality one. I guess I've got a couple or three hundred quid available for this - maybe more if it's really worth it.I'd rather have a decent lens than extra megapixels (buggered if I'm going below 6-8MP though ) - ideally it'd have a removable lens thingy so i can put fancy lenses on it but I'm not sure if you can get them for that kind of money. I dunno anything - I've done no research and haven't touched a camera since I did photography at college before they had digital cameras.so yeah suggestions please

Tony Harrison
Fuji S5600 is good for £150. Lens isn't detachable, but you can get screw-on adapters for wide-angle/fish-eye, etc. Downside is it's 5 megapixels, but then again that's hardly small. Just don't judge a camera by the number of megapixels - it's like judging a bike by the number of gears.

Tony Harrison
Even the old (and far inferior) S5000 was good, and I paid over £200 for it... S5600 is a bargain for £150...

Monkey
I recently got a Samsung 815 Pro for just over 300 quid. 15x zoom and 8MP. You don't need a changeable lens with that. It's a good lens but the camera as a whole is VERY BIG. I'm still learning the fine points, though. I got it from a local shop second hand but there are some on Ebay. About the only downside I haven't been bothered to look at the manual for an answer to is that it only films for 30 seconds max. My wife's dinky Digimax will film forever, up to the limit of the card, if you let it. The 2GB card on her camera probably means a few days of film. It's not bad quality either, for what it is.Only other observation: get a camera that films AVI, not MOV like my last camera. MOV is crap. In my opinion. Dan Clark
I have the Fuji S5500, search in the photo thread for stuff I've taken, I'm very impressed, apart from I find it noisy as hell in dark conditions, but seeing as your not using it for anything serious it shouldn't bother you.
