Pluc
Hi,I'm wanting to get a rear hub Chris King Classic with original axle and aluminum freehub, but I have some questions:- This setup works well for biketrial and street mix?- It is need to use some specific cassette? I think about using a Shimano Sora.- What lubricants is indicated for maintenance? Riding only in dry, what the period recommended for this?My preference is for a Hope Pro II Trial, but in my country it does not have and to matter is complicated. Thanks! Brian Bleech
Chris King hub are great for trials, but I really would reccomend getting the steel freehub and HD (heavy duty) axle. Also spend some time bedding the hub in.The Sora cassette will be fine. What country are you from?
bite me
hello i run a chris king with titanium internals and hd fun bolts and is absolutely amazing i recommend running it standard for the bedding in period then if you really want do use it for trials only in the dry and clean it regularly with WD40 by taking it apart completely then cleaning it out and running it dry works the best for loud stiff engagements even at low speed as KING engages better when more pressure is put downif not just lots of grease is good and less servicing will be neededhope this helps mateAdam
GTF
You dont really need the Heavy Duty axle unless you are a really hash rider.King hubs are the best fort trials IMO.The Sora cassette will be just fine on the hub.
