Dan Campbell
I'm guessing you've checked google for the common "face vector tutorial" etc?The tutorial I started with was this one..... TutorialAs far as faces and hair go i think practice practice practice is the way to go. Faces are quite easy as long as you get the eyes and lips right. I try and keep it simple and not over complicate the shapes or numbers of colours. The one above looks good but try without the black outlines, sometimes they work but with people and faces especially they arn't so nice.Hope thats some help.Dan

Dan Campbell
The biggest problem is there are no shadows or defineing skin tones in the photo you've chosen, you ideally don't want anything taken with a flash. Saying that, there's usable lines around the nose to pick that out. your lips look a bit feminine at the moment make them a bit darked and add some more colours. Get some work done on the stubble and you should start seeing the face appear. This style can be really simple and still come out looking absolutely fine. This was a flash photo and I think it ended up ok especially as it was early in my vector style learning curve.Dan Edited November 15, 2006 by dan_brisa
Concussion
Who me, oh right! Yeah the stuble is giving me probs, but looking at your pic and others, I think I'll get there with the facial features. Here's something I was doing this afternoon, not finished obviously, but liking the results so far.... yay` the pen tool!
