Walleee
I know, but the idea of a steel mod seems really backward to me. I see them as comp bike's so steel would be too heavy. If I had a stock it would be for thrashing and i'd want it strong so steel would be great.Maybe if you manage to throw a few out and they look good i'll get one, I just think it would be difficult to impress me using only steel tubing, having said that, I own a monty which has very little CNC work at all, infact I think only the dropout's/Disk mount is CNC'd if not forged or cast....... F-Stop Junkie
ohh so every weld is sanded like they do on cannondale's and other pimp bicycles? I found out the other day that Cannondale don't sand the welds, it's a by-product of the heat treating process which causes the excess weld to soften and flow into a pool. It's not enough to structurally affect the weld, but enough to make it look pretty. That said, they may sand a little before paint to tidy them up a bit though! Just becasue it's steel doesn't make it heavy Aran have you made a mod yet? I'm riding a triton mod at the moment which seriously rocks my world but a bit of steel might send me over the edge!! tipsy Jock
glad you all like ! sry nick i could contact you, and i got impatient and had a go myself, and the product is pretty good.thanks VERY much anyhoo xprice change is due to the quality increase,EVERY weld on the frames is now SUPER smooth...i have expanded on equipment ect..i know £100 is quite alot..but the frames are easyily worth it, and no where else will go as custom as me.but yes deng frames are getting cheaper. but i have given up competing with that range of price, because people will realise the products are completly different.i still undercut the similar and not quite so custom companys nicely cheers peepsiolo.I'm liking that little jibe
