Guest
Your not getting them to build your new bike are you? It'll have even more extreme geometry once they've had their way.

La Bourde
I know 4 riders (Chris on IBC forum, Chimpy's friend, peloton and Soen on espacetrial) that ordered a Mielec's frame.3 of them had serious problems (geometry).Chimpy's friend first bike was too long. The second was okaySoen could not use HS33 with a wide rear rim:http://www.hiboox.com/images/3906/afaffe6a.jpgThe headset was funny: The color was not the ordered one (he wanted a dark yellow).Chris ordered two frames. The first had to be black. It was silver. The design of the frame was different too.The defined geometry was not respected (less than 1080mm instead of 1095)He had a rear IS standard disc instead of a +40mm.http://img120.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc00230md5.jpgThe second was too long... 1110mmOnly Peloton had the frame he ordered.Mielec
Fishy
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Heatsink bikes Mielec's?
Luke Rainbird
Possibly, but the difference being they have been dialled so that they get the settings right and then run a batch, as opposed to setting the machines/jig for a single frame or whatever it is they do.That's why there are often problems. However, I must say that despite the problems people have had I was tempted a while back when I spoke to them and could get a fully custom Alu frame for £170ish posted... Yep, heatsink order batches and as such they simply can't f**k thing's up, it would be too obvious and steve wouldn't accept it, simple as.£170ish posted for a custom aluminium frame is too good to be true.
