FoxRacer
clean the rim from the leftovers from grinding (best way = pour it with water). Should work well after the job is done.
weebryan
yea wash the rim and allow to dry by holding the bike from the front , locking the brake and push the bike backwards against the brake, you can get more force this way and allows the pad to brake in
Greetings
As above, just wet the rim and ride around with your brake on. Then wash away the dirt Repeat a few times for best results.

downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
Just bed them in the "proper" way (slow way) then your brake will be beast

Walleee
thats your own opinion isnt it though......how do you know that people arent thinking he is the coolest cat on the block what? Him riding in circles looking stupid isn't your opinion? how do YOU know people arn't looking at him riding in circles thinkin' he's the coolest cat?who care's anyway. it's 3 days since he posted i'd imagine they are workin by now, if he hasn't changed them yet....I was kinda getting at the fact you were being rather pedantic (and stating the obvious) about cycling in a straight line or in a circle, what differance does it make? argh.... joe b
If you haven't already sorted it, then i feel rinsing your rim with boiling hot kettle water is a good idea, but then just ride normally instead of dragging your brake. If your brakes performance ever decreases just pour boiling hot kettle water onto the rim and pads. This softens the pads and help to bed them in again... Cheers,Joe.

Walleee
I was playing with a lighter today with a little coust rubber, if you gently toast it so it melt's but doesn't bubble, and then let it harden, the bit which was heated is a bit softer than usual, might be really good, or perhaps really shit once it get's through the softer stuff back to the normal, but then it'll just be like normal coust's which are the dog's balls.......So yeh, burn your coust's

Heating pads to a degree of temperature that they aren't supposed to be at. Can change the properties of the pads, therefore would make it utter shit.Cheers,Joe. Walleee
I wasn't seriously instructing people to burn their pads, come on, just throwing the idea out there. Of course heating them changes the properties! that's the idea! to make it more stickey! For one it's changing from a solid into a liquid for a short time, your also decreasing the hardness of the heat affected area. Honestly if I had more material and backing's i'd seriously be trying this out, but I only have the coustsink's that are actually useable(have bit's of random material floating around)and don't want to f**k them up as it's £15 to get more material for them..... Surely it will just make the pad more brittle than sticky.
Walleee
if you've got any try it. After heating the material does not harden at room temperature, it will solidify to a degree, but it's definately not as hard as normal.
