Dilemma!

If they are stupid enough to spend £165 on RAM without checking whether or not it is compatiable first then they deserve it to be honest! By not saying anything it isn't misrepresentation, so as you said you are A-ok! If they do ask however then you are legally required to tell it like it is, but I'm guessing you would anyway.

By law you arent allowed to sell something to someone that you know is incompatible. Just so you know, we studied it in construction contract procedure. If you willingly know something is wrong, then you have to tell them.

But otherwise its up to you.

Firstly that is construction contract procedure, I'm not sure it really applies to private sales of electrical goods, but even if it does Anzo doesn't know it is incompatible, he is making an ussumption based on this persons recent purcahases, for all we know this guy may have more than one machine and this is for the other one which IS compatible. In a court of law I'd say that was fairly water tight!

Just sell it to him, I can't believe you're even asking the question, you're even nicer than me, that's just ridiculous, haha!

The reason I'm asking because its nice to know I'm not the only really selfish person on this planet :P

I remember very well how pissed off I was when I found out it didn't work...hes basically following my footsteps, however, he has the advantage of a compatibility list as long as your arm, which he obviously hasn't checked. So technically, he may aswell close his eyes and take a lucky dip on any RAM on the shelves.

The only down sider on this is that its 165 of his cash down the shitter. Of course, IF he asks, by all means I'll tell him the truth.
