Al_Fel
Itunes has got to be the stupidest program i've ever used. nothing is straight forward or simple. Its pissing me off so much I want to break things.

Tony Harrison
Yes, but Alan has the slight disadvantage that he is actually spasticated. What's your problem with it? What can't you do?EDIT: Wow, you answered the question before I asked it! Stick in the CD, then when iTunes recognises it, drag all the songs into your Music Library. Then connect the iPod and it will update itself. Or read the manual. Edited October 25, 2006 by snappel

Al_Fel
you can't say that thats not a f**king stupid way of doing it?you can't even select everything with the mouse. you've got to hold shift etc.its the shittest thing i've ever used.so i've got to put all the songs onto my computer before I can put them on the Ipod?I don't want them on the computer I just want them to go straight onto the ipod. It's my nephews and its getting thrown back at him. Tony Harrison
No it isn't. It's logical. Move songs off CD into library, then ask iPod to synchronise itself with the computer. Logical I'd say.Jeez, do you want me to come round and spoon feed it to you?
chrishayton
you can't say that thats not a f**king stupid way of doing it?you can't even select everything with the mouse. you've got to hold shift etc.its the shittest thing i've ever used.eh, do you have the same itunes as everyone else. all i do is put a cd in and click copy, then it goes to my library
halliday
i get what you mean, i think its gay too... not like the olf itunes where you could choose what music you wanted to put on the ipod, now you gotta put it in the libary and let it do it itsself, beofre you could just drag and drop in its own little libary which i thort was far easier.. Danny
100% Agreed Itunes is awful. It tries to do too much. I don't want all my songs to be in x location i don't want all my songs on my ipod....

minitrialer
you can set it so that it doesn't update all of your songs in your preferences. So it won't update every time. Then you can have what you want on it from where you want. Everyone is a winner
Tony Harrison
Stop looking for reassurance, be your own man!Now get a hammer from the "Felton Garage of Treats and Surprises" and smash the shit out of the iPod, computer, charger and wire. zoojames
you can turn it off so it doesn't put all your shit on.theres a little box that pretty much says "do you want us to f**k with your iPod or are you okay to break it by yourself?" I just ticked saying I was.Lovely piece of kit I think, better than Windows Media Player.James
Phatmike
how the f**k do I put a CD onto the IPod then? step by step. It's easy enough. iTunes can be frustrating, and the sync-ing with other libraries is annoying, but apart from that, it's not that bad! Tomm
Each iPod has a name and a different profile. If you need to sync more than one iPod with one iTunes library, you can set it to only sync one playlist - I.e. if you have a normal iPod 30Gb, you might want it to have the whole library. But then if you have a 4GB nano as well, you could have a nano playlist of 4Gb and set that to copy. It's not too hard really (Once you have resigned yourself to the fact that it must take over control of your music and put it where it wants to). boon racoon
i disagree with any software which uses its own format and deviates from ripping things to mp3i tried to get some songs off my housemates computer from cds she'd ripped to her pc and they were in wanky ipod/itunes format so they wouldnt playmp3 players should be like usb sticks in my opinion. drag and drop. anyone know a good one like this? i've refrained from an ipod for too long but fear i might be swayed unless i find another alternative
paolo
I might have the solution I haven't tried it yet because I kinda learned iTunes, but I must admit it's REALLY anoying.anapod From what I read, it basicly integrates your iPod as a mem stick into windows, just drag and drop, and actually have control of what's going on.Just noticed you have to pay, but the trial seams to do the drag and drop thing... Alexx
Advantages: I can listen to everyone on the networks musicDisadvantages: Slow, Laggy scrolling, Crappy ipod syncing, Sound randomly laggs, massive ram useage, loads of useless featuresI use foobar2000 and itunes, just because i like the shared music feature - someone should make a foobar plugin.
