The Flavour Of The Week Thread

I saw Enter Shikari a few years ago, before he really used his sampler :o

But yeah, they are getting progressively worse, anyone can play a Faithless sample, then palm mute open D in the background, then vomit on the microphone.

Absolute tosspots in real life too, I hear at their last gig they were delayed by 15 minutes because Rou (vocalist) couldn't actually fit his head through the door.

I can beat you all (not that beat is the right word because frankly no one cares), I played my first ever gig supporting Enter Shikari. We packed the venue out and had an awesome night, after we played most people went home and Enter Shikari played to an empty floor. No matter how big they get despite sucking immenseley, that memory will always comfort me!

And yes they are tosspots in real life, the were offered a support slot with Sikth and they said they would only play if they could headline because they believe they are a bigger band than sikth! F*CK OFF!!!

Joy Division

Joy Division are my flavour of the week every week!

Other flavours of my week include Philip K Dick, Baudrillard's postmodernism (those last two are all part of the same thing), Bauhaus (the band) and concentration inducing subliminal hypnosis tapes.

Apropos of the last item, I'm getting strange urges to buy more hypnosis products :)

You clearly need this t-shirt.

Haha that's so good!

I won't get involved in the ES debate too much, ive seen them a load and my mates band toured with them (fell silent for anyone who saw them play). It was good to see something a bit different, and they really suited smaller venues with the atmposhpere the 'oldskool' fans created, but theyre overrated these days, although through no fault of their own IMO.

Telefon Tel Aviv rediscovery. Found a new favourite tune - "Sound in a dark room" amazing if you like your chilled out electronica.

Cardio. Since I no longer ride my stamina is god awful!

Uber healthy lunches. Making a change from the normal healthy lunches I have.

Going to bed a little later than I otherwise would - accidental.

... "Let the good times roll"

I will have to get myself a copy of it then :) yeah isn't Tracii doing the 'The Tracii Guns Band' thing at the moment with Paul Black (I think thats his name) who was on the demos but left before the first l.a guns album came out.

Which Vain album was it, the first one is a classic and the new is pretty good too. I was listening to the Hollywood Rocks boxset last night ... awesome
