White Ranger
Hello people,I had a thought , how easy would it be to make your own pads?Would it be possible somehow to contact the suppliers of the rubber and order a huge block, Then you could simply cut bits off and use glue or sumin to stick it to a magura backing... let me know, cheers. max-t
yes it is possible but sometimes it can take a while to find a good compound.so it is best to buy it in small bit (or rob it) at first.i know a few people who 'homemake' pads.i am actually using some made by 'fatmike' and they are awsomeboth front and back magura rim.scooter wheels can be used as compound.my friend 'medwaytrials' off trials-forum has had great success with making them.you can use a junior hacksaw, stanley knife and a file for cutting and shaping.max.... adamtrials
As shown above it is possible, but if you need to ask how to do it are you really capable of safely producingsomething that could seriously injure you if they f**k up?Not being rude or anything, its just an important point. 5.0 Rider
I think it´s difficult to find polyurethan, to produce your own pads. And you must know, how to fit the polyurethan into the backrings
Wright Pads
It's dead easy to do but you gotta now what material to go for and sha and then how to make them. Also need backings and decent super glue.Tools, time effort. Oh and it's very cost effective to make you own!
