Smo™
Doubt it. Witchcraft and Wizardry seem a bit far fetched.

JT!
could say the sam thing about 9/11 but people still did?steve. That's not really the same is it...But it is fake. It's a fact. And to be honest i was genious. Bet it only cost £1k to make.
Shaun H
That's not really the same is it... But it is fake. It's a fact. And to be honest i was genious. Bet it only cost £1k to make. $35,000 and grossed over $160,000,000. The people who played the 3 being chased were actually being followed around by some friends who made all the weird noises in the night. Sometimes they were geniunly scared shitless cos of the noises and stuff.EDIT: Just been reading a bit more, $160,000,000 is just in the US, it made $248,000,000 overall... anzo
When they say 'based on real events' the 'based' is the keyword. For example, it would be some friends with gay annoying accents went camping, filmed a bit and then heard someone step on a twig.Americans being Americans, it couldn't possibly be an animals stepping on a twig, It HAD to be a ghost.Therefore....based on 'real' events.I dread the day you get a letter in the post telling you you've won £15 million pounds... RobinJI
Haha, yeah, the clue as to weather the film it's self is real is the way that in the credits there are things like 'producer'But weather its based of real events or not doen't mean that is actual footage and stuff. The one thing that springs to mind when saying 'based on true events' is, how did they know it happened? I havent seen it in like 6 years, but didn't they all die in the film? so who told them about it?
JT!
The idea was they found the camera.Looked at the footage, and made a movie.
Concussion
No chance! Thought all that `based on` stuff was just marketing stuff at the time...was good though, only horror film that freaked me in the last... well ever!
Houseface
looks like most people thinks is a big pile of bullshizzle.only reason i ask is the stroy line that i understand from the story and the interweb is that 3 people went into the forest and went missing, and a year later the police found the footage in the house at the end of number 1.steve. Extreme_biker0
Its definatley real, I mean come on, we've all experienced ghosts, they're definately real. What's so far fetched about one chasing some people through the woods. And being good at making sculptures out of foliage. You'd be stupid NOT to believe it.In fact i'm surprised this is the first topic about it.
