My Hope Hydraulic Disk Brakes

trials wannabe

Recommended Posts

If its not too expensive at your local bike shop, get your mounts faced. it makes them exactly parralel with each other and the drop out, meaning the caliper should sit dead straight over the disk, not slightly off, which can cause a noisy brake.

I actually bought the hope facing tool, as i have 4 frames (and a fair few forks) with disk mounts, so was more cost effective to buy the tool (even at £70). ive found it to be very benificial.

Might as well ask in this topic seeing as it's a bit related. Bought a used Hope lever recently and it's creaking when I press it hard. I had the same problem with my old lever, it doesn't influence the performance, just drives me crazy

Is there a way of getting rid of that noise?
