ogre Posted October 18, 2006 Report Share Posted October 18, 2006 ^^not true^^ lol and i don't think thats what he asked either. anyhoo a freehub is a hub(obviously) with a ratchet and pawl mechanism built into it so you can roll along without the chain moving, eg hopes or profiles. a fixed hub is a hub with thread/casette (spline?) that doesn't rotate in the hub, so you have to run a front freewheel or rear freewheel.
