06 Monty 221pr Vs 07 Monty 221ti

Hey, I am buying myself a new 2007 Monty 221TI full bike and am wondering what are the differences between it and the Monty 221PR 06... I was riding the pr for half a year before it started cracking at the bb in 3 or 4 different spots... dealer here was telling me that it is because when i swapped the disc brakes to the magura martas with monty brake pads, the frame couldn't handle the strength!!! monty brake pads not suitable for monty bike!!! anyway, my 221ti is on the way here and i was wondering, what is the differences between it and my old pr... i actually like my old pr a lot... only problem is it feels very heavy n draggy on the rear wheel so i was wondering whether the 221ti feels like that cos it's supposed to be same geometry n all... so what accounts for the really big price difference other than the hope dual disc brakes and the titanium stuff?

the hope dual disc brakes and the titanium stuff

Those make a fair difference but there are others. New rims and bars are better quality metal, rims are predrilled and of course they're white... Cranks are ISIS instead of square taper, freewheel is the new Monty one instead of an ACS... Other major difference is the frame construction itself. I believe both frames use the same geometry but the Ti is triple butted for higher strength:weight ratio, uses an internal headset and no magura mounts. It's basically a lot of little details really. I've actually just ordered an 07 221 Pr disc with a set of hope trials and an eno. Reckon in the long run I don't really need all the fancy stuff on the Ti.

Hmm... I see... Oh well, will just have to wait and see... I thought they would have tweaked the geometry or something. Cos the price difference between a pr frame and a ti frame is a lot... but there'd be differences between an 06 model and 07 model in terms of geometry? i would think that they might tweak the geometry to make it better...
