Trouble Sleeping.

You could try melatonin tablets, they're often used by long haul air passengers to help them acclimatise to their new time zone.

Basically my understanding - as someone with no medical background - is that melatonin is the chemical produced by the brain that makes you sleepy and, in a high enough dose, makes you go to sleep. When you're wide awake, the brain supresses the production of this chemical, but half way through the film you've been waiting up to watch, the brain dumps a load of it into your blood stream and you're out like a light.

Seems like a normal dose is 3mg, though some people go as high as 5mg. There haven't been any reports of side effects, except unusally vivid dreams. This is, of course, purely anacdotal! I wouldn't recommend regular use, just if you think you'll have problems getting to sleep.

You can get it here, but avoid the time release stuff.

sound advice.

that's the only thing short of special cuddles or drinking a lot that gets me to nod off.

I learnt about the dicovery of the rare earth elements and how the periodic table was invented all last week - an excellent night's sleep every time (Y)

Wow sooo many replies , but then again everyone does sleep or not as the case may be. Ok just finished work and im tired but not mentally is annoying again. Will try and tear myself away and check out a film, I just find myself to engrossed with you JT in early mornings haha.

F-Stop .. could be a plan however my dreams are fcuked up enough as it is without adding anything else lol.

On this note im going to have to choose a film sleep tight haha >_<
