Whats f**ked on your computer? Sure its not the hard drive, graphics card, monitor etc?

Bundle looks alright though... although that depends on whats broke in your computer :P If its just the CPU, then you'd only need to replace that etc..

I think its the motherboard/processer as a friend gave them to me! His pc was crashing a bit and he got a new ones and it works now :P - I was skint at the time and just needed something to use!

The hard drive is pretty haggered too, so could actually be that!

Kinda thinking that it might just be worth replacing the whole lot and starting again.

The graphics card (GeForce thingy) is only a few months old, so sure it ain't that and i might try a monitor we have lying about just to check, but 99% sure its ok :)

what the hell is vista? :)

The nest in the series:

Windows 3.1

Windows 95

Windows 98

etc..

Windows XP

Windows Vista (comes out in January)

Not all computers will run it, but if you buy one with it pre-installed obviously it will :P Your computer will not become obsolete as fast too if it runs vista.

To be honest I wouldnt bother with Vista when it first comes out, like all things its probably best to wait. From what Ive seen it just looks like its got a very fancy GUI which needs a pretty sweet spec just to run it (Fancy 3D windows etc..)

i agree,

plus, computers are such a household thing nowadays that its gonna be hard to get everyone off xp for quite a while yet.

i mean, xp has been around years, yet i still know of people using win98.

you'll be sound with that bundle mike. I did the same thing around two years ago and got a mobo/duron cpu combo for £99.

it seemed lightning fast back then, and is still running smooth today. (Y)
