What Do Boosters Actually Do

hello

a booster prevents your frame from flexing (your frame flex's around the rear maggy mounts when you put your break on)

anyway a booster stops the frame from flexing which improves your breaks performance, because your brake's are not trying to make up the power which is lost from the frame flexing

i hope this has helped

thank you

hi :) have you noticed on some bikes with rim brakes when the rear brake is pulled the frame flexes outwards under the power of the brake?this is called frame flex (N)

this is why people fit booster as it reduces/stops flexing ,which results in increased brake power and modulation (Y)(Y)(Y) hope i make sense ,lol :P

some bikes come with built in boosters e.g zoo pitbulls
