TomR
Right, i've checked the search and FAQ before you say it. I'm gonna get a Minion super tacky and in the FAQ it says a 2.5" fits a base ta26 on a d521, but ive gt a DMR DV which is a fair bit wider. This still gonna fit? ..and is the 2.5" a close fit in the base anyway?Cheers,Tom.
Krisboats
2.35 minion had loads of room and a 2.5 michelin comp 24 fitted fine, essentially the same tyre and tread type as the maxxis.
Ali C
are you sure you want a 2.5"? just with a narrowish rim like a dv you may get a load of tyre fold unless you run high pressure.not saying you should get a 2.3", but have a think about it. GTF
Ali C got a pont there. If you run the 2.3" the tyre dosent fold as much as the 2.5".
TomR
Cheers for the info chaps. Good point on the rim width too, i would get the 2.35 anyway but CRC don't have any in stock which is why i considered the 2.5. Ill go look elsewhere for the 2.3 methinks. TomR
Cheers for the link. I think my 1.5mm thick nokian DH tube might fit a bit better under one of these than my current 2.1, haha.
