Greeny
i have used the search and had a quick look through brake pads, koxx bloxx, plaz pads, rock pads etc. and you can clearly see there are two main conpetetors which are: koxx bloxx browns and rock padsso my question is which are best and which would you get or have. i have tried plaz pads and they are great but i want to try something new.i run a grind with tar for super bite and preformacethank you Greeny

It is actually quite pointless using this combination, because people use grinds because it makes a brake work in all weather conditions, but when tar is used aswell it may work ok in the dry, but when its wet the tar will turn to oil ?, whatever tar turns into when wet, makes the brake worse. So you obviously don't ride in the wet, therefor you may aswell use a smooth rim with tar as it makes any brake work well. Anyway i don't think rock pads have been out for long have they ? am i wrong. If you want decent pads, i would recommend heatsink CNC reds, awsome in all weather conditions, with super bite and peformance, as you want, with out the use of tar, . A!!
The last 2 pairs of pads i have used have been the koxx bloxx, which i do really like as they have a good amount of bite, a good wear rate and work well in pretty much any conditions. This is providing you know how to set up a pad nice and flat against a rim (which i'm sure most can). I'm a bit of a slacker with rim grinds as well so they have been used on a very light grind, but they still worked well. The only thing i didn't like from them was i found that they lacked hold as they seemed to slip a fair bit on me. But last week i got some new rock pads, and they look the shizzle. I haven't had a chance to use them yet as i'm still waiting for my wheel build from tarty, which is a bit of a shame but it can't be helped. Anyway back on track, the pads have a lot of material so they should last a while, and the material itself feels fairly soft and sticky, so it's all good. But hopefully i will have my wheel sometime this week, and then i can give the rock pads a real go
