Ash-Kennard Posted October 13, 2006 Report Share Posted October 13, 2006 to be honest its not worth it, the risk that your chain will come off is alot higher due to the chain line created and the slack on the chain so it can reach the bigger cog, try it though and prove me wrong. White Ranger Posted October 13, 2006 Report Share Posted October 13, 2006 I can help with this!I use 2 cogs, my trials gear and a riding gear... What you should do is put what ever trials gear you want closest to the back wheel then use 2 or 3 spacers to have the riding gear a little bit of distance away from the trials gear. Then using your rear mech single speed it, get the end of a brake cable cut it off and put it through where the cable would go on the mech, then when you need to change gear use the adjusty thing on the back of it to move the mech over... It works awesome!! All my mates have done this and it's so cool to have a riding gear so your not pedaling like a lemon everywhere you go...
