munkee
Civil engineering? Very very basic physics needed, ie 'water runs downhill' I can assure you its anything but basic. You need to be bloody good at maths and half decent at physics to understand pretty much anything in civil.

Fixed Pantsâ„¢
Backing up everyone that said do something in the trade.Do something like mechanics, it'll beneit you so much bike wise, car wise, money wise etc...Me think's i'ma do mechanics or something along the lines of that if i don't go to 6th form. It'll either be an apprentiship or a college course. Edited December 15, 2006 by Fat Pants

rickycoleman
well yea, im pretty sure i'm going to like photography but i'm not sure if i will be able to make of a living out of it.. Please don't go down that path, photography is one of those courses for people that "dont achieve" or fail at everything else, Do something useful like languages, maths or an apprenticeship. I don't see how you can make a living out of photography, you can buy cameras that do all the work for you nowadays, so whats the point? I think you'll find that intelligent "achievers", who motivated by a sense of individual identity, also choose the subject of photograpghy for study. And useful is a relative term. Gavyn.
I can assure you its anything but basic. You need to be bloody good at maths and half decent at physics to understand pretty much anything in civil.you need advanced higher maths for that here not sure what the equivelant is in england and holland but it's the hardest thing you can do in school here closely followed by physics.my granda was a civil engineer he also did a degree in arcitecture but just before he left he was designing bridges and roads now he's just drawing plans for private extensions/conversions. i think for designing bridges your going to need to know a fair bit about physics.
