chisholm
Hey All,Firstly the static pedalhop ( backhop ) :This becomes second nature to a trials rider it just take time and practise so don't give up before you've mastered it.Here are my 5 steps to success.1. Start by finding which foot you are most comfortable with forward.2. Get you're balance and learn how to control it.Now we can get started3. With you foot forward, pull up sharply on the handlebars.4. Let you brake off and give a small sharp kick down with the foot you have forward, then pull on your brake5. Repeat again - if you can. Keep trying to do more and with more style.Secondly the moving pedalhop ( gaphop ) :This can be used to make a gap bigger than which you can backhop. Many people use this as a base to start taping and other moves but that comes later.Again my 5 steps to success.1. Start with your foot forward and start to cycle.2. Pull up sharply on the bars and do a full rotation of the pedal then pull your brake.Basically you have just done a simple wheelie.3. Again start by cycling at a slow pace. Pull up sharply on the bars and begin to pedal.4. As you start to pedal in you're wheelie try to give a sharp kick through the pedal stroke, shift your body weight uptowards your stem.5. With the sharp kick finished and you moving forward the bike should lift into the air. Pull on you back brake before you land in order not to slip and roll out. Both these moves require a lot of practise and keep at it and get back to me see if i was any help to you.Hope i helpedAidan Chisholm.
