Devboy
As you can see at the front, my frame and forks have suffered from some corosion effects from sitting in my shed, is there anyway to get rid of this?
eskimo
Doesn't corrosion occur on steel based alloy?I can't see anything wrong. Maybe its just surface 'corrosion'.

Maybe its just surface 'corrosion'.ally corrodes it just doesn't go brown. from the pic it just looks like the laquer is bubbling a bit - assuming it is laquer. I'd guess the only thing you could do there is strip it down and relaquer it.

RicH_87
I think i heard riding it helps...oh wait, maybe that gets rid of the OCD, not the actual corrosion.
Devboy
I have started riding it, and thats why i want to sort the frame out.
munkee
It doesnt affect the frame so no need to go polishing anything out. If you ride it you will have dents and scratches to worry about.
Krisboats
If your really worried about it get some gt85 on it, that "should" get the crap off assuming your lacquers not just gone funny. If your lacquer has gone a bit funny then the only thing to get rid of it really is to strip the existing lacquer off with nitromors and then re-lacquer it as previously suggested.Try some metal polish maybe? It hardly looks like theres anything wrong with it in the picture.... not something i'd be worried about myself.
Concussion
Where? Question: Does your front brake have much tension in the arms etc? I have a old DMR Sidekick with stupid narrow mounts.....can't get any tension out of my Deore V's...would XT / XTR be any better? They don't spring back etc! Brisa
Deores have plenty of tension if set up right, maybe post a pic of your set up?
