661 gloves are alright, i found mine very comfortable although didnt last quite as long as my kona ones.

Maxxis tyres are my personal choice, and are favoured by many. Hansventure is nice for street due to dual compound, so longer wear life. Minion DH is popular, but a bit sticky and slow for street. Hi Roller is fast rolling, but at the sacrifice of some grip.

Hi Rollers - put the rear one the wrong way, much more grip (Y)

Nokian NBX 2" - front

Maxxis High Roller 2.5", Dual Ply, 40a - rear

Thats my tyres - I only ride street, and they are super (Y)

I dont use gloves, but I think that the 661 should be fine. As long as you like them they are good ;)

Id say 661 gloves are pretty comfortable, get the thinner ones like the Raji, would be better for trials.

As for tires id say my favourite has to be the Maxxis minion rears, in super tacky or slow reezay compounds. Have a 2.35 on the front and a 2.5 on the rear. Great for natural! But if you mostly ride street, then i think the hansventure or high roller would be good. Yep.

I have the raji gloves, they are great for trialing

but for tyres go for michelin hot s proper good trials tyre.

I have one of those (on the front)... and I have to disagree. They are pretty light and don't wear out very fast BUT just not a lot of grip.

I don't go in for mega soft compounds but even I find them just not grippy enough. When I go up to front wheel the tyre nearly always slips forwards, and if you ever try and turn a corner in the wet you WILL die. Sorry.

i run no gloves lol, use to have 661 raji but i got ultimate blisters lol!!!

i have got a monty eagle claw rear tyre (20")

and it is great.. i run a holy roller (bmx tyre) on front it does the trick and it is a smooth ride!

try riding without gloves its better..

cheers

I'm hard, so naturally I don't need gloves. I just hide in corners and cry when no one is looking, because my calices hurt so much.

On a serious note, I really don't think gloves help. As long as you ride regularly, your calices just harden so it doesn't really hurt at all. You'd be better off saving yourself twenty odd quid and getting some foam grips from halfords!

i've worn gloves i used to like them till they started to wear out but now i ride without you should try it for about one month i found that in winter gloves were great to keep your hands warm but if you go to halfords there cheap £10 gloves are the best out there beecause i found that they are impossible to destroy or rip
