Fixed Pants™
There was also another one similair to that that i saw right in front of me. A tee shirt was thrown out and was going straight to a kid who looked about 8, had his arms up ready to catched it and looked so exited and chuffed! Then a fully grown man from a few seats behind leaned right over everyone, whipped it basically out of his hands and handed it to his son who looked about 19! The lil' kid looked really sad an i'm sure the tee shirt will just go to the back of that guys wardrobe.think i saw that... on the sunday right? and he was bald i think, looked cruel, i would of hit him
F-Stop Junkie
What the need for all the silly big moves, non. I'm loving small techincal things. I have never ever seen CLS or Tuni do it, they just jump off the next to the next yeah there good but it's not what trials is about.Trials was a blance of life and your own controle, a way too really get on and meet people. Yes it's still that today but you have to have this bike and parts and do these moves and you have the tenquie as this. Not even Ashton, Hawyes keep it trials what it was now really. Ashton sold out, Hawys well we duno do we and the god fatyher of it. The crazy Asutrian with the pony tail (well not now) Hans Ray no way is the only one keeping it real.Pete, Pete, Pete... Trials has always been about big moves. Remember when we were younger and it was all about how big a drop you could do? That was the big move. Big moves have every bit as much place in the sport as the small stuff. It's all about what you want to do.Again there's always been the parts, the frames and so on. On any forum there are trends and stuff. It's just a matter of perception at the end of the day. Also some people follow them more than others. There has always been the MBUK bike for example, back in 93 it was a Chas Roberts Dogs Bollox frame, Pace fork, Cook Bros Cranks, etc... Back in 99 is was the blue Pashley in team spec with headtube flame graphics and blue top tube pad, now you could argue there is a TF bike. Even if there is, does it matter? All the rides I've been with have displayed absolutley no bike snobbery whatsoever. Admiration of the cool ones certainly, but not looking down on cheaper or less cool ones. After all, we all have to start somewhere and make the most of what we've got.Ashton and Hawyes not keeping trials real? What planet are you on? Even putting to one side the simply awesome amount they've done for the sport - I'd bet the sport would be a whole lot smaller without them - Martyn is demoing up and down the country all year long, running a trials bike brand, and ensuring continuing coverage of trials in Britain's biggest bike magazine. Hawyes is still on the scene, helping out with the Ashton team, and supporting the sport. Hans Rey is doing less trials than either of them, doing more adventure XC rides than trials. I think trials is evolving, look at the Trial Noir DVD, it's bringing in extra influences as well as well as people like Jeff Lenosky taking trials influences into other areas of the sport. It's becoming so much more creative than ever before, not to mention Ben Savage and others being World Champions. There has never been a better time to be into trials.
