The enchanted broomstick
As some of you may know i have a peugeot 406, the white one. Its actually fixed and all working again now. But! my water warning light keeps coming on the dash board. Sometimes it comes on and goes away, then comes back then goes again. sometimes it doesnt come on at all, and sometimes it doesnt turn off. The thing is i've checked my water levels and its at maximum, and has been at maximum every time i have checked it.Anybody know the solution to my problem?Cheers, stu

CurtisRider
mums 405 always has random lights come on, mainly for the engine oil, apparently its normal for pugs, cos they cant wire cars up for shit...either way, check the water, if its fine, ignore the light? glad to see you finally have it back on the road
Barbra
check to make sure there are no loose connections?
george_seamons
Disconnect the battery, and leave it for 10 minutes...this will clear the ECU of any stored fault codes. Might be worth a shot....if not, just stick a bit of tape over the bulb, if you're 100% sure theres not a problem.
PaRtZ
Check the sensors too? sorry thats a bit vague but my temparature light on my saxo kept coming on, I immediatly thought the coolant was gone/leaking etc but it was just the thermostat instead
