A!!
It is new pad time, and i have an old pair of brown koxx bloxx i found that i have cut grooves into, but they don't have much life left in them. So instead of fiddling about to put the old pads on for a short amount of time, i want to buy some new ones instead. I noticed these on tarty and just wondering if anyone has used them or knows what the performance is like: Rock blue pads The second thing is i'm thinking of getting one of the monty hose splitters as i keep bending and snapping the magura hose. So as a solution i might get one to stop me from messing it up and they look nice and tidy as well. Are they easy to install and bleed once they are on? For anyone that doesn't know what i'm on about: Hose splitter

Greetings
The hose splitter won't help. It might be an idea if you put a few layers of insulating tape around the place where you usually brake the hose. This will stop it from bending and reduce the chances of you having similar problems in the future.
trialsalot
ive used a splitter before and theyre buggers i think!i dont think they change the fel of the brake or anything.ROCK PADS!!!I BLOOODY LOVE EM!!well worth it in my opinion.i cahngd from coust material in heatsink backings.craig
ben_travis
The aim of a splitter is to create a brake that doesnt have a slave piston. Basically both pads hit at the same time. It wont affect the feel of the brake. Just how much power it should have. To have a good brake, both pads should hit at the same time, bleed should be good with NO AIR and the pads should be set up parallel ( i say parallel because some rims have angle braking surface) to the rim, this will make your brake feel solid.i dont thing people understand what the splitter is for so thought i would inform you. Well inform you of my opinion on what it does.

Orgun_Donor
Well i rode my bike down to my LBS today, in the pissing rain, and the rock pads seemed unphased, as if they were being ridden in the dry..... will be able to give my feed back later this evening, i hope. munkee
At the moment jury is out for me on the rock pads. Admittedly i only rode them for 3 hours so far on natural but yea they are alright so far. They arent up to par with my plaz pads just yet but ads told me to let them fully bed in before i jump the gun. I have to say though they come with a crap load of material! Hardest part for me was setting the brake up good again, have to have the cylinders as far out as they can go (onza hog rim 19"). I bought them for the winter riding due to being told that they will work better than plaz in the wet since plazmatics dont work one bit in the wet for me. Will give them another ride on sunday and hopefully be able to give a better review. Quite a lot of people are loving them though from what i have heard and read in here. Well worth a try atleast
A!!
Cheers for all the replies. I ordered the pads and hose splitter from tarty earlier so they should be here on tuesday. I'm looking forward to putting them on, especially the pads as they seem to be very good from what you have said
Orgun_Donor
Just a little update... WOW!!! not one slip, at all!! Wether it was raining or dry, these are now my new favourite pads, also seem to be very quiet in the dry, unless your gapping big. But then in the wet they just seem to get nice and loud! Hopefully ill have a better and longer ride tomorrow, BB starting to come loose, but i dont think they could get much better.
