Whats that meant to mean? I was'nt complaining I think its amazing how much they have payed for me to be on the road and I am very greatful for it. It was'nt meant to sound like

'they payed for everything but wont buy me all my body kit n stuff cus dere wankers'

Get your facts straight before you accuse me of being spoilt (Y)

What's it meant to mean? What you said was just a funny thing to say - as if you were hard up because you had to pay for your own body kit. I didn't mean you were spoilt, it's obvious nobody's parents are gonna buy them a body kit. I ain't accusing you of being spoilt at all. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone etc - There are plenty of people who are much worse off that me so I'd be being very hypocritical if I accused you of being spoilt (same goes for pretty much everyone on here)!

Paid for half of each lesson, insurance whilst on provisional, theory and practical tests for the first time(luckily i passed both first time) and now pay for my insurance on my mums car because it was the same price as when it was under provisional.

All that was if i did't get my own car. they obviously don't want me iut by myself in my own car whenever/wherever i please. And that i'll be more controlled in her car. if only they knew.

If it wasn't for their help though i'd still be saving and probably have a lesson every other week. So iwas very glad in the end.

Ahh right, Sorry for the abuse earlier, I was'nt in the best of moods. I meant it as my parents payed for me to be on the road, but anything after i have to buy which to me is more then fair in my opinion, I did'nt ask them to pay for the majority of my car or lessons ect. I appologise. :)

my parents paid for my driving lessons for my birthday (only cost £120-only needed 6) then then my first (road) car when i passed my test (£1200)

other than that ive always paid for the costs of running my own car, all my insurance and tax. although dad has helped out with mods from time to time, because he loves the mini just as much as i do, and although it was my dailly driver, he often took it out at weeknds for a blast and stuff.... we kinda help each other out, as i service and maintain all our family cars.

with the audi i bought it myself, although using partly money that was left to my by my gran. again i pay the STUPIDLY high insurance cost, silly high tax band, and for the rediculous amount of fuel it drinks on even the shortest of journeys :)

it does surprise me that so many people have their insurance paid for though!

without paying my car insurance, i would be loaded :S

Got bought a car, and insurance on that as parents have been putting away money each month since I was like 13, and they're doing the same for my sister. Didn't have any paid for lessons though, just learnt with my dad and passed first time.

I pay for petrol and anything that goes wrong, think I might have to pay some of my insurance this year though.

Spacemunkee you lucky tard, bet your dad drives a monster of a car if that's your history of cars.

I dunno he doesnt like stupid fast stuff... hes more in to practical things.

When i was born he was driving an automatic volvo prolly a 940 id guesse.

Then moved on to a another volvo turbo 180bhp.

Then moved on to a ex police volvo T5 (or some form of t5 it had no markings to say what it was) which was 375bhp. Literally the most awesome car i have ever been in (worrying to say that isnt it), had everything in there.

Then came the landrovers...

Landrover discovery 3 manual TD3 or 5?

Then got same again which he currently has a auto version of the above.

So kept to big cars really so the dogs could come with us places.

Hes lookin in to getting rid of the landrover though at the moment and replacing it with a bmw touring or something like that.

As a birthday present from my 'rents I was given an ulimted number of driving lessons. my provisional and my full licence, basically everything except a Car and Insurance, which I will be paying for now I have a job.

They said they put some money towards my sisters car, but I'm only looking for a G reg Fiesta for like £500, that'll do me for a while.
