I think kate took Aarone so she would get off lighter in her trial. Makes sense, doesn't it?

Not really, otherwise she would have exploited him. She was will to go down in order that no one saw him. My guess is, she doesn't want anyone to realise he's not hers. Which just adds to the whole feeling of either something happened before they got off the island and the oceanic 6 are the only survivors. Or, and more likely (as Jack wants to return to the island at a later date) they are hidng the fact that people are still alive on the island as they want to stay on it and be left alone/have done something which has angered 'an organisation' which would kill them all if they knew there were survivors.

This would be the organisation the Black Man belongs to and the quite probably the 'list' people which Saiyid and Ben are killing off "in order to protect [sayid's] friends".

Also, notice how the people Sayid is killing on "on a list"? Like "the list" which the others had when they captured Hurley, Jack, Sawyer and Kate at the end of series 2, and they let Hurley go, as he wasn't on their "list". Not sure of significance, but knowing Lost, there's probably something obscure there.

then again, these are prbably incoherent ramblings. I need to go to bed :/

"Due to the strike, 8 of the 16 episodes ordered for this season were produced before production shut down and around five new episodes should be produced before the end of the season. The number of episodes not produced this season will roll-over unto the next."

From spoilerfix.

:D

I like how now we know Kate has Aaron it makes the whole "I have to go, he'll be waiting for me" thing a lot better. We all assumed it was Sawyer but it's actually Aaron?

You talking bout the last scene of series 3? If so then yeah I guess she meant aaron. Am I right to guess that that first flash-forward is the furthest forward we have seen yet? With Kate and beardy-Jack?

So basically, were going to have a huuuuuge break (probably) after episode 8?

There was no mention of a gap, depends when the strike ended and how fast they can film episodes. But, if it was a writers strike, then it means they haven't even written the newer episodes?! Can an episode be written and filmed in a month or so?

Yeah i think so. As Jack says to hurley he's thinking about growing a beard.

What i don't get is how Jack refers to his dad when he should be long dead. :S

No, there is a gap after episode 8. Until Late 2008/early 2009
